ANALOG DISPLAY DIALS
They Type NPD series of analog display dials consist of a commercially procured planetary drive mechanism mounted on a baseplate assembly. The baseplate holds a removable paper scale and clear plastic protector, lined with a removable mitered plastic molding. This allows the user to mark or calibrate the scale as necessary for the equipment it is to be used on. The reduction rate of the planetary drive is either 6 to 1 or 8 to 1, depending on the unit selected. All models are intended to drive the controlled device attached through 180 degrees of rotation.

Type NPD-1 and –2 assemblies are held to the front panel by the two machine screws also used to mount the planetary drive mechanism to the base plate. On the NPD-3 unit separate mounting screws are utilized to secure the unit to the panel. All three types come with two printed, uncalibrated paper scales.
