New from Sierra Mountain Products is the Trek Trail Table. Now, we know that this is not an absolutely necessary item to carry into the wilderness, but it sure makes sitting around the camp fire and preparing your evening dinner much easier! It has been tested on Sierra wilderness trips by our staff and the results were the same: the benefits of having a flat food preparation surface far out-weighed the additional 5 ounces of weight to the backpack - particularly when camping out on rocky terrain above the timber line!

The Trail Table is constructed of strong, but light, white pine. The flat surface is actually a plastic screen material, which is stressed flat and taught by two tensioners. The legs are an integral part of the table assembly and fold flush with the table top. The two tensioners and one center member are the only removable items, and also pack flush with the table assembly for transport. In the transport mode, the entire assembly measures about 13 inches long and about a 1 ½ inch diameter. The weight of the assembly is typically 5 ounces or less.

When in use, the table top is about 7 inches above the ground. It will easily hold a full cup of coffee and other items and camping utensils. One square feet of flat surface is provided by the assembly. Please see the accompanying photographs of this product. We have found it to be particularly helpful when preparing the evening dinner, keeping ground and dirt out of plastic food bags and pouches that freeze- dried backpack food typically comes in. And putting the prepared food plate on a table beats trying to balance your dinner on a rock!

Your Trail Table will be made totally in the United States, with materials and fasteners purchased from local California suppliers and vendors. And, as with all of our products, we will warrant the Trail Table for workmanship, premature failure, and overall quality for one year after purchase, assuming it is used as directed in the instructions, and after we receive the completed customer warranty card.
